POSITION SUMMARY

 

Reporting directly to the Head Coach, the Class Instructor & Personal Trainer is responsible for leading, instructing, and motivating individual Gritncode Members and groups to achieve their wellness goals. This role involves creating and planning unique classes, providing innovative Gritncode-specific exercises, and adjusting workouts to suit varying skill levels. The Instructor & Trainer must be well-versed in Gritncode Experience Procedures to offer detailed advice and support, recognizing both mental and physical limitations that may affect motivation and workout approaches. This position is focused on ensuring member satisfaction, with a passion for wellness, fitness, and health, encouraging Gritncode Members to become the best versions of themselves. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Warmly welcome and engage with Gritncode Members, assess their needs, and note health conditions to provide appropriate program suggestions.

  • Ensure maximum member satisfaction through a personalized approach and recognition.

  • Implement innovative moves and techniques that align with Gritncode's culture and mission.

  • Assist in creating in-house promotions and activities to boost sales and member engagement.

  • Maintain a professional attitude and handle difficult situations diplomatically.

  • Perform front desk procedures efficiently, including booking and handling customer interactions.

  • Adhere to compensation guidelines for handling customer complaints, involving the appropriate managerial level when necessary.

  • Comply with Sport & Fitness and Gritncode Experience Procedures.

 

ADMINISTRATION

  • Facilitate administrative tasks related to front desk operations, Gritncode sales script, signing up new members, and scheduling training sessions.

  • Evaluate members’ personal goals, skills, and fitness levels to build personalized training packages and programs.

  • Monitor members’ exercises and progress, enhancing techniques to improve program outcomes.

  • Assist with training/coaching/classes reviews conducted by the Head Coach.

 

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Maintain a high degree of anticipation and professionalism towards internal and external members, monitoring customer satisfaction through surveys and feedback.

  • Develop and deliver competitive, value-added services and classes.

  • Clearly describe classes, programs, machines, and facilities to recommend appropriate follow-up plans.

  • Increase awareness of the TGxGritncode App, consistently suggesting enrollment to potential new members.

  • Perform effective programs, classes, and exercises to retain and grow the customer base.

  • Collaborate on tasks outside the job scope in the spirit of teamwork.

 

SUSTAINED LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

  • Attend 65% of staff meetings to stay updated on all aspects of Gym & Fitness operations, and get education sessions.

  • Assist in induction and refresher training under the Head Coach’s direction.

  • Support new employees during onboarding and execute post-training assessments.

  • Participate in Gritncode education and training sessions, participate in Tiers assessments, and implement ongoing skills training to maintain service standards.

  • Recommend and explain offerings to members, maintaining high product, service, and program knowledge.

  • Consistently grow sales through training, tools, and monitoring.

  • Seek self-development opportunities to upgrade knowledge and skills, actively participating in internal and external initiatives.

  • Suggest enhancements to existing Experience Procedures for further growth and efficiency.

 

SAFETY

  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations at all times.

  • Uphold sterilization and hygiene standards as directed by law and Gritncode Experience Procedures.

  • Perform routine checks on cleanliness, hygiene, and operational equipment functionality.

  • Ensure proper care and professional use of all gym equipment.

  • Report hazards and take required actions promptly.

  • Maintain high personal hygiene standards and support the team in complying with Grooming Experience Procedures.

  • Communicate equipment and technical service needs internally.

  • Record and update Engineering and Maintenance issues.

  • Possess full knowledge of emergency procedures and perform expected behaviors.

  POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

​

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • At least one to three years of experience as a class instructor or personal trainer with demonstrable results and exceptional communication skills.

  • Required Skills: Group Class Coaching, Personal Training, Outcome-Based Program Design, Team Management, Organizational, Relational, and Emotional skills, and IT skills.

  • Essential Qualifications: Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Specialist, CPR/First Aid. Additional certifications (e.g., Transformation, Corrective Exercise) from NASM, ISSA, AFA, and ACE are welcome.

  • Knowledge of current sport & fitness trends.

  • Commitment to enhancing health, safety, and productivity in a smoke-free workplace.

  • First Aid Certification is always up to date.

  • Passion for Sport & Exercise Science and Holistic Wellness with a commitment to continuous learning.

  • Experience as a critical point of contact for esteemed customers.

  • Ability to guide, support, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and members to ensure success.
